Work in Progress Wednesdays

So I have really started to try to lose weight. A wedding in the middle of the summer by the beach in North Carolina is all the motivation I need to get this butt into gear. I started doing Jillian Michaels: Shred-It With Weights last week, which is a kettlebell workout, and I love it! I am obviously only on level 1 and can barely make it through the whole thing but let me tell you it is a workout and I am sweating my butt off by the end. I have already lost a half an inch in my waist and a half an inch in my hips which isn't too bad considering I have only done the workout five times. This week I have started counting calories. Baby steps for me! A huge inspiration for me is the blog Mama Laughlin. She is awesome and funny as hell. A lot of you guys will love her, she tells it like it is.

This warm weather is great since we get to spend more time outside! Amelia just loves to wear all the spring/summer clothes and to be outside!


Amelia also started eating baby food. She is still not too sure though. We are going slow with it. She is not too fond of the cereal and definitely does not like the chicken and gravy (it made her gag). So far we have tried bananas, sweet potatoes, applesauce, green beans, and peaches with success.
