Two Weeks Already!

Well we have made it past the two week hurdle. My baby girl is growing too fast already. She is such a strong little girl. She is already trying to hold her head up and when she wants she can push off her feet. And man does she have some lungs! Do not make her mad because she will let you have it. She sleeps almost all day and at night, well she just doesn't want to go to bed. The whole breastfeeding thing is going okay I guess. She never really learned to latch on, she tries and then gets REALLY angry really quickly. I am not sure if she is too lazy to really try or just would rather have a bottle. So I am exclusively pumping.

Amelia had her first doctor's appointment on Monday and she weighs 8 lbs. 11oz. which is 11oz. more than when she was born. She measured 20 1/4 in. which is 1/4 in. more than when she was born. Dr. Birner says she looks great and her measurements all look good.

She is adorable and I love every minute of being a mom. My swelling in my feet and ankles and legs has completely gone away, thank God, I was starting to feel like a blimp. I went to the doctor on Monday also and she said my incision looks great and my weight is now down over 36 pounds since right before I delivered and that is over 12 pounds under what I weighed when I got pregnant. It makes me so happy that the weight is coming off because it has never been easy for me to lose weight and I thought I would have major trouble losing it after I had Amelia.
